Usage : Amiodarone Intermediate
Description: Amiodarone is used to treat acute and also chronic arrhythmias, both in supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias. A Belgium company called Labaz developed amiodarone in 1961. Amiodarone was commonly used in Europe to treat arrhythmias, but remained unapporoved by FDA in USA till December 1985. Amiodarone is one of the few drugs approved by FDA without rigorous randomized clinical trials.
