Description : 

 

Linagliptin is the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) of branded drug Tradjenta, Trajenta or Trazenta. It was innovated by the Germany drug maker Boehringer Ingelheim and cooperated the marketing with Lily. Linagliptin was approve by the US FDA in 2011. Linagliptin is used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. Linagliptinis is a Dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor (DPP-4, DPP-IV).
